Returning To The Feet Of Jesus
This teaching emphasizes returning to Jesus, not just being busy for Jesus. A key lesson from Mary is that there is a difference between serving around Jesus and sitting at the feet of Jesus. Martha was occupied with many activities, while Mary chose to sit at the Master’s feet and learn from Him (Luke 10:38–42). And this applies even when we fall into sin. Sin should not make us run away from Jesus; it should make us run back to Him. The feet of the Master are still a place of mercy, correction, restoration, and fellowship.
